Twenty-five years ago, I made a decision to join an organization, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).  This organization was established by former FBI Agent Joe Wells in Austin, Texas in the late 1980’s.  Joe Wells was able to bring a variety of talent to the organization and ACFE quickly became the premier organization to train and investigate white collar frauds.  Recently I was recognized with my 25 year pin from the Association.

The association started with the mission to educate examiners on the identification and prevention of white-collar crime.  Today it is the number 1 resource for fraud prevention training and education, as well as, having established the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential.  The ACFE has trained CFE’s in more than 150 countries.   Since joining the organization in 1992 the Association has grown to more than 80,000 members worldwide.  The ACFE greatly advanced my skills and ability in the investigation of issues at all levels.

In 1993, I was a charter member of the Central Indiana Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  During the years I have served as President, Board Member, Education Coordinator and volunteer for our many seminars.

If you are an investigator interested in expanding your knowledge, I would highly recommend the ACFE.
